I think you're confusing Ukraine with Crimea, which was the birthplace of Russian Christianity a little over a thousand years ago in Chersonesus where Grand Prince Vladimir was baptised before bringing Christianity to Rus.

The US government was though 'we the people' weren't directly. There is a distinction as the US government has gone rogue and no longer abides by the will of the people. It does what it wants after it's politicians lie to those who vote that they'll act according to constitutional constraints. Thats changes the day after the votes are counted.

I don't think the rest of the world views it that way, Chrimea is still legally part of Ukraine. At least the all glorious UN says it's part of Ukraine. Just because you want to succeed doesn't mean you can. If that were the case the U.S. would start the process, and I would be all for it!

The people of Crimea voted for their self determination. After gaining their independence they then voted to rejoin Russia.

Catolonia in Spain is attempting the same thing. The thirteen colonies did it as well. Hypocritical for the US government to say anything that attempts to stop people from choosing freedom and self determination.

From what I have read the .gov in Kiev has a very forceful draft and has promised land in the east for volunteers. If the rebels in the east have a breakthrough do you guys think that could force the US .gov to react?
