It is summer. The internet shops that don't actually to put guns in their buildings will kill the local price everytime. Plus, with the excess capacity out there, manufacturers will turn a blind eye to pricing. Be careful what you wish for, cheap guns become just that. Oh, and try Village Tactical.

Why did Kevin leave?

They have some loud mouth opinionated salesman in there now. I overhear him say 2 or 3 wrong firearm facts everytime I go in regarding title 2 and class 3 items.

PM me if you want the details, but I have known Kevin for 20 years, and shopped Big Boys when they were but a wee lad at the original Wheatland location, as 89th and Council were my old shooting/stomping grounds.

Summer for sure makes a difference. Gun sales--and gun shows--seem to do better when outside recreation options are much more limited. As for the Internet pirates, I'll forego giving my opinion of them here.

I prefer to give my money to Brick and Mortar stores that have the gun in the store that I can fondle. Yeah, it might cost more, but I don't have to sell it later because its not the actual gun I wanted.

If you like SSP, check out 7 Element Firearms. David is buddies with Tommy and the guys, vet owned and operated. He's on Broadway in Moore. He and SSP get all my business. Will not even go shoot at Big Boys anymore since Kevin left.

Never heard of them, may have to stop in next time I'm over that way. Thanks for the suggestion.

I've been trying to sell several guns lately, and it's been very difficult. Six months ago, they would have sold like hotcakes at the prices I'm wanting, and now people are making me downright insulting offers. There's definitely a huge dropoff in demand, even below normal pre 2013 demand and prices. I read just the other day that S&W's AR sales were down over 60% this quarter. And I've been hearing similar stories across the board.

I would also observe that the economy is down in general. Holiday spending has been at all time lows, especially when inflation is considered. This combined with rising unemployment, declining incomes, and rising home prices is really strapping people lately. Medical care is another one I hear a lot from people, as to why they cannot afford to buy more guns and ammo. Since Obamacare took over, everyone's medical expenses have gone up. If not for the recent drastic drop in gas prices, I think things could be pretty bad right now. Honestly, I would probably blame the economy more than anything. If people had the money I think they would still be buying guns.
