I would say that any method of pre-confinement rehabilitation is a better alternative than imprisonment, I'm sure those being sentenced have an opportunity to decline if the sentence is religiously objectionable.

I do agree to an extent, but some would consider the choice between jail and church an attempt at forced conversion involving the Gov. There are Muslim judges in America now, would Mosque or jail be as acceptable?

Is going to jail and possibly loosing a job, car, etc. or going to church and not chance loosing those a real choice? Again would it be as acceptable if it was a mosque? Not trying to pick at you just trying to see your reasoning in this considering your earlier post...

"By allowing the 10 commandments on government property, we are allowing the church in the government, by forcing citizens to visit these institutions, religion is being forced on them. By allowing churches to influence elections, we are allowing the churches in government. There is no place in our government for religion.

People of faith are trolling threads to inject their beliefs....hell, they will even troll your doorstep to inject their faith in your life. I don't see too many atheists doing the door to door trolling thing."

I don't object to there being a Christian forum, but I don't see the need for an Atheist forum. I don't see any Atheists on here who feel the need to discuss their beliefs in an environment devoid of opposing viewpoints. While it might be nice to have some fellowship with fellow non-believers, I don't feel a need to seek that out through a gun forum.

Ultimately the fact that so many Christians are uncomfortable discussing their beliefs outside of an echo chamber bodes well for the future of Atheism, and may have a lot to do with why the "nones" are the fastest-growing belief category in the country.

A Christian calling anyone a halfwit is an insult to Jesus. Not trying to single anyone out, but there's a lot of people here that can take criticism and have a good discussion, then there are others who have an opinion that only intelligent people share their opinions.
I would generally say, you don't see many atheists in prison or politics, so maybe that's saying a little something about atheists...

EDIT: And if you're inferring that I'm implying Christians are dumb, that is not what I'm saying...

Not quite. But nice try.

To clarify, I describe some of the halfwit bigots as halfwits because they are not very bright and they are bigots. It is not that they are halfwits because they are bigots but that their parents dropped a deuce in the shallow end of the gene pool and the educational system did not do them any favors.

There are a lot of intelligent religious bigots who can discuss their special kind of hatred and abject intolerance in an articulate manner. Just not here.

Yes, it's a choice. Life is full of tough choices. Choices like, "should I drive drunk or should I not drive drunk?" can lead to other tough choices like "should I go to prison or should I accept this program at a church that I find objectionable?".

Matthew 7:6 says give not that which is holy unto the dogs.

Woof woof, puppy.

I would disagree in the case of this forum. There are some religious bigots here that want to take shots at those simply because they believe differently. If they didn't take the shots like calling them "weak minded" (etc.) there would be no need for a "Christian Forum". Having a forum for Christians is a failure in problem solving.

As to having subject that are out of bounds with friends, don't worry. Somehow I just don't see either of us sharing Christmas Cards anytime soon.

To clarify the weak minded comment it was in response to judgement laid upon me after a joke. In which, I truly believe if you are trying to scare me into your belief...... or believe the scary stories.... then you are weak minded and insecure. Not far from the same type of a hollow philosophy of screaming bigot every 5 secs and hoping it sticks. See Ferguson for reference.
