Here, but occasionally There.
Sandburrs (or stickers) and goatheads are two entirely different monsters! We need some pics of the two side-by-side to show the difference. Yes, goatheads are like sandburrs on steroids. Most sandburrs are not even the size of a pencil eraser. Goatheads are much larger ... at least the ones I've seen. Fortunately, I haven't seen any in some time!

And, like Ronny, those are three plants that I do know about.

A goat head is what i used to call my little brother and i dont know how i came upon that name. Reminds me of a veteran at the OKC VA Hospital. Two vets were going in the door at the same time and one vet told the other "go ahead" and he yielded. The other vet in jest said, "dont you call me no goat head." True story.

I remember one time my little brother was in the middle of a goat head patch crying-he was barefoot and i went to rescue him barefoot as well. We both ended up crying and were rescued by a guy wearing of all things-shoes!

When we were little, my cousin put some cockleburrs in a little box with water and food. He told his younger brother they were baby porcupines. He would pour the water and take out some of the food and move them around. He kept this up for about a week.
I remember as teeagers waiting on the school bus we'd pick the top off a sand burr and throw it at one another. OUCH!
