Still waiting to see if keeping with my Shield 9 will be all I need, or my old cartridge belt and 357 combo make a comeback after the election, maybe I need to add my old Ruger P89 in a shoulder rig to it. :P

Seriously I think everyone with a brain is nervous. I know everyone with a working brain will be voting.

My Shield 9 is an upgrade in capacity from my EDC 640 j-frame. The 640 is just much easier to pocket carry.

Even though money is really tight, I'm still on the lookout for a deal on a full size 9mm (with a higher capacity) to add to my arsenal.

I'm not worried or nervous at this point. I knew these times were coming, I just hoped I wouldn't still be here to see them.

If you live in OKC go walk through Quail Springs mall at 3:00p.m. on a Saturday and pay attention to the crowd. Took my granddaughter lady Saturday. First time I've been there since March. Ain't going back. I felt safer at WalMart. In that mall you could just feel a palpable tension from certain from certain members of society. Their body language spoke volumes.

No thanks. That’s not a good place to be.

In response to the OP and his initial statement/question - My opine is that events of the day, conspiracy theories, fake news, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, twitter, TikTok, snapchat and even LINKEDIN to name just a few are completely responsible for the perpetuation of fear through information/dis-information/denial of information. some of that information is correct, some party correct, some incorrect and most just pure nonsense.
I believe this combined with world events that include a plethora of on goings, viruses, flu, winter is coming, elections, illegal immigration, medical marijuana, china, Russia, North Korea, medical insurance, opioid crisis, unemployment, rise of violent crime (add a reason here) and a general feeling of a lack of security is causing folks that never felt the need to be armed, to inquire about the possibility.
Sad state of affairs for sum, yet for others a repeat of the cycle of civilization and a welcome change.

. I am persistent int he belief that Obama started this mess! If things get rough and somehow we have a Harris administration the Constitution will be a thing of the past and this country will become a totalitarian state or worse and then those that actually care for this country will turn out by the thousands upon thousands going to DC demanding our rights. That is what it will take and whoever the Democrat is in charge will roll over, they won't be able to take the pressure exerted upon them. Plus, the police will willingly turn their collective heads. Good will triumph over these evil and despicable people if we stick together.

IF....their is a Heels up Harris Administration ...They...will Not give up power, no matter how many "show up or protest"...they are taking the country in a coup, The "new" police force, ( remember the Kenyan saying we needed a police force, like the military but national..) you can google that infor. Guess who the new police are,...Yep, theat screamer with the purple hair and knot in her nose...and Dude with the pissed that he was in jail, don't forget the meth heads.....Cause the real police will be gone. The police will be democrat thugs read (blm , antifa)

The democrats have decided they need this power cause they can nanny us, and our life will be so better then....

They...the democrats....will NEVER give up power.

Like I said, to late for guns, unless your laying out big bucks...So, buy food and hope to ride this one out. It going to get bumpy and bad in those democrat states. Hopefully any nonsense here will be met with the law, and the hooligans in jail...and me on the jury.

You and me both!

You might watch for an older Ruger. Not lite, fancy, or high tec, but goes bang every time you pull the trigger and can usually be found fairly cheap compared to the Glocks, etc.

While driving from Walmart to Home Depot yesterday I stopped for the pedestrians in the crosswalk. These certain members of society saw me and slowed down their walk, looked at me and slowed down even more all while looking straight at me. I was stopped for a good 25 seconds for that one couple in their 20's. Being armed very well at the time I was very patient and waited until Mr. and Mrs. Molasses cleared the crosswalk. Didn't bother me and I kinda chuckled a bit but they made sure I noticed them and their actions. I just know they were baiting me for a reaction.

I don't know about buying a Ruger... I'm more of a M&P, Glock kind of guy.

Maybe if I found a real steal on one kinda like I did with my 640. I never had any interest in a j-frame but I couldn't pass it up for the price and it has become my all time favorite carry gun.

I like to always have an exit strategy. In a car you gotta heavy options on your side. At that mall the options seemed to be shrinking the longer we were there. Told Miss Annie if we hurried up and left we get could get to the snowcone stand by the teepee church before they closed. After that she kicked it in high gear for the car.
