Beings a fellow member had a situation with the plastic head attachments. What about the one in the photo? I like the looks and how it is shown to work.

Has anyone tried one?

Tried one, didn't like it.
I got nothing like the performance in that vid. Yanked out roots. Twisted up and clogged on brushy weeds. Where brushing against foundation, curb, or concrete; it worked fairly good, but wire did break off and fly.

The blade type, I tried same as OP. The plastic "swords" done a good job on grass, but the brushy weeds were very tough. If brushed against concrete, the sharp edge was gone, ground down to ragged, rounded uselessness.

The circular saw blade intrigued me. Not enough RPM or torque to do a good job. Grass was ok, not great. Heavy brush had to be cut VERY slowly.

The best results I've had, come from the X shaped extruded line, the auto feed round line is cheap and will safely get the job done. I will stick with it.

Loose wire strands will embed nicely in your skin and maybe even bone.

Hopefully, there would be enough wire sticking out to grab it with some dykes (wire cutters) to pull it out.

This happens a lot with an angle grinder and a wire cup cleaning up my ugly welds. Those wires go through jeans like they aren’t there.

Had to go to Doctor to get wire dug out from weed eater.
