You say that, but I think Hillary would do a better job than even Romney would. Her voting record in the Senate was probably more conservative than you think.

Don't try to bring facts into this :D We're dealing with pure unadulterated emotion here!

Back to the original theme of this thread, I'll pull a Ridgehunter and quote myself here (from 10/26 in the Colin Powell thread):

What IS a Republican these days? With the likes of Ron Paul, Colin Powell, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Bob Barr, et. al all running under the Republican banner at some point these last few years, I am not even sure what the NAME "Republican" stands for anymore. I mean, look how many ran as "Tea Party" conservatives against the bail out(s) and raising the debt ceiling, then quickly changed their tune in DC (cough*Lankford*cough).

Are we for a strong foreign presence, isolationism, or just jingoism?
Are we for limited government interaction, or for limiting bedroom and medical activities of homosexuals and women?
Are we for laissez faire economics, or do we believe the Government has a duty to oversee the economy, provide welfare and preference to large corporations (i.e. tax credits on federal, state, and local level) and "create jobs?"
Are we for less government meddling in private legal disputes and contract, or do we believe in limiting unions' negotiating power with private companies (i.e. Right to Work) and enacting tort reforms that artificially limit civil judgements?

The damn Republican Party is so scattered in its vision and actions among all its constituents, that the damn name "Republican" doesn't even mean anything anymore. So RINO really applies to anyone poor soul who tries to identify with that helpless party.

All those people who voted for Obammer were imho were people that just heard what they wanted to hear and never bothered to invest the time to look at the real differences in the two candidates or in what direction this country is going. It's not what can you do for your country anymore, it's what can my government give me.

I think Dennis is exactally right, the days of the gray haired old white man running the country are over. We old white men are now the minority.
The sad thing is that many small rural population states like OK and the big collection of red states on the map will be taking our orders from the maggot infested liberals that inhabit the big cities and heavily populated states. These people have no concept of open spaces, clear skys, a brace of bird dogs or a crisp fall day loaded with the excitment of deer in rut. Their concern is legalizing marajuana, craddle to the grave wellfare, abortion, gay marriage, ad nausatum.

I pity our grandchildren who will never understand what we have enjoyed and taken for granted.

It will do the Republicans no good to get someone with morals, work ethics, and a strong sense of right and wrong. We have just experenced the failure of this combination. We are going to have to join them to beat them.

We need a good Republican scumb bucket!

A great example of three things that anyone who loves liberty should support.

Unfortunately, to get someone that understands social liberty in office, you generally have to put up with their welfare and spending into oblivion.

What we needed, was Ron Paul. Unfortunately, Republicans are just as much sheeple as their Democrat counterparts.

I disagree on abortion, because murdering someone tends to infringe on their liberty.

Damn those big city liberals of New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, Wisconson, Minnesota, Nevada, Maine, and Iowa!

poop, this is why the GOP lost. You cant legislate morals. Roe vs Wade was settled in the 70's, America spoke then. Women have the RIGHT to choose. The GOP needs to fight for WOMEN's rights and AGAINST those groups who continually attack them.
