He actually looks better than on cam. I had already decided I was going to give him a pass this year. I think I misjudged him.

That is an exit wound. The shot was broadside. It must have deflected bigtime and exited there. Jack opted to hunt with the xbow vs the gun. It’s his first archery deer too.
This is the entry. Muzzy at about 20 yards.
I figured it was a severe quartering shot to right front of the buck. Dead deer either way. Pass on the congrats to the young man.
