I ended up buying my daughter a muzzleloader license, because her target buck has been coming in at a location that’s not suitable for a two person bow stand. We saw 5 does and 2 bucks, but the buck she’s after didn’t show up on any of my cameras tonight.

This is my 20th year deer hunting up here, and I can’t remember a year that deer movement was this screwed up. I’ve made a few trips over the years where deer movement has been “off” while I was here, but this whole season has been screwed up as Hogan’s goat.

I'm hoping it picks back up this week.
I keep thinking that’s it because of the warmer weather. I’ve got a couple of smaller bucks showing up, but I’m still waiting on a new bigger buck to show his face.
This really is a strange time deer wise. Movement is almost nonexistent. I brought a guest this weekend, and the only killable deer I’ve seen was the buck I shot yesterday and the buck I just rattled in. And I’ve been in some VERY deery places. No does, no young bucks, no nothing. But coyotes.
