Thank you! I bird hunted it a couple times 25ish years ago. But it’s in my general “neighborhood”, so I’m somewhat familiar with it.Very nice deer @AER244 ! Congrats! Your very first time on the place?
Nah, tell the truth. You’re just trying to get away from them grandkids.I wasn’t going to go this morning but I’m going just to get rid of that spike he needs to go they all do I didn’t use to think this way but I’m starting to change my opinion
Deer movement has definitely tanked (at least on cameras) compared to last year. This is my 20th year deer hunting up here, and I can’t remember a year that deer movement was this screwed up. I’ve made a few trips over the years where deer movement has been “off” while I was here, but this whole season has been screwed up as Hogan’s goat.
I keep thinking that’s it because of the warmer weather. I’ve got a couple of smaller bucks showing up, but I’m still waiting on a new bigger buck to show his face.Deer movement has definitely tanked (at least on cameras) compared to last year.
I'm hoping it picks back up this week.
This really is a strange time deer wise. Movement is almost nonexistent. I brought a guest this weekend, and the only killable deer I’ve seen was the buck I shot yesterday and the buck I just rattled in. And I’ve been in some VERY deery places. No does, no young bucks, no nothing. But coyotes. I don’t understand it and it’s a bit angering with a guest in tow. This is my 20th year deer hunting up here, and I can’t remember a year that deer movement was this screwed up.
