I’ve got pictures on and off all day of bucks cruising by, but I still haven’t seen a single one that makes me anxious to spend $300 on a rifle license and drive 8 hours to come hunting. :rolleyes2
This is one reason I'm contemplating getting rid of my cameras. I kinda miss the excitement of not knowing whats running around.

I saw one scrawny 8 point cruising and a doe browsing on wheat on a full day at the farms.
Still gonna do an all day. Our farmer Leasee just planted the spot where the target Buck showed up earlier in the season today. Feeder was jammed with some corn stalk, so cleared that and had a little buck show up not long after leaving this evening.

I am so thoroughly depressed and disgusted losing my target buck that I am contemplating not even hunting. There are no other bucks on my place that I want to take. My daughters will be here Sunday and there are a few bucks they would be happy to get, so I also don’t want to mess up their hunting.

If anything, I might go hunt my neighbor’s place. He told me I could hunt there but I haven’t done much scouting and have no cameras, so it is possible I could cross paths with a shooter buck I have no knowledge of. I will either do that or go sit silently on a high spot and watch for crows and buzzards.

It’s depressing to miss that target buck, but as the old saying goes, if you get bucked off a horse, get back on and teach that horse who is boss.
Get back into the stand and go for another.

@undeg01 - I know how you feel, but don't tuck tail and run! Let your daughters hunt and help them all you can. You go hunt your neighbor's place and be on the lookout for coyotes, crows, buzzards ...
Get a little trigger time and get back in the saddle! Hang in there!
I had already decided to focus on my daughters and help them be successful. I figured I could have breakfast waiting for them when they come in, and I always make dinner for them. If I am not hunting myself when they are here, I plan to take turns sitting with them and enjoy their time and excitement.

I get more joy out of hunting with my kids than I do hunting myself. I’m not excited about hunting myself this next week, but I’m going to support my youngest son while he’s up there hunting.
