This evening started out slow which surprised me a little, but I ended up seeing 7 does and 3 bucks. The highlight of my afternoon was seeing a cock pheasant which is an extremely rare occurrence.

I’ve been going back and forth about heading up to the panhandle next weekend. I had pretty much talked myself out of it this morning, but I’m reconsidering it now. Hopefully, your pheasant numbers will continue to increase.@Gunblinder

I stayed home today. It's been raining off and on so I just helped my wife get the Christmas stuff out. Some of the bigger bucks I've been seeing are showing back up on camera and there's even been a few show up around sunset.
And wouldn't you know it, my last week of being on call for jury duty I have to report on Monday. I'm hoping they settle and/or I don't get selected. I took Dec. 1 off to go see dad and get out in the woods. I'd like to be able to do that.

Well, I kind of expected it to be a banner day, but it was a pretty slow morning. I saw 7 does and 2 bucks from the stand and 4 more does riding around checking coon traps. With all the moisture coming from the snow melt, I closed up the north part of my place to avoid tearing up the roads, so I‘ll be sitting in an open tripod this evening and if decide to go in the morning.
