I fought a 22 mph wind yesterday and hit a friend`s pond, it paid off with a nice little Bass and a couple of Bluegill. Caught `em on a Firetiger Crickhopper using an old Shakespere ultralight rig with 4lb test....
How do you work the lure? Close to the bank?

It`s a wake bait, so it`s runs right at the top of the water. I use a improved clinch knot and tie directly to the lure itself. I was casting out near some old tree tops about 20 or so feet from bank when that Bass hit it.

uh....ummm….nope, saw it right away. 
I picked up some 6lb Trilene today for an old Quantum XR1 reel that I had retired and went out for a bit to try it out. Between two catastrophe failures I managed to catch this beauty and a couple of Bluegills....It didn`t take long to fugure out why I retired so the hunt is on for another reel.
