I made a pre-dawn run down to Tenkiller this morning. I caught a few Bluegill, a little Black Crappie and 2 Smallmouth, the Smallies are impressive little fighters especially on an ultralight! $10 in gas, $4.25 in turnpike tolls, not a bad price for a fun morning on one of Oklahoma`s most beautiful lakes!

I've got one of those crickets in my tackle box. Now is certainly the time to run them with the fish up on the banks.

Got up to our lake house here on Grand this morning and went out to the boat dock and caught a few (9) slabs of Crappie.
Caught them in about 4 foot of water between the bank and the boat dock on a white curly tail jig and red & white Big Eye jig head.

It`s been a bit bumpy this last week, lakes levels above normal and rivers running strong. I took a break from mowing the wet grass and got out for a few minutes yesterday for walk around a friend`s pond, I missed one and caught a couple of smalls...10 day forecast looks like I might get a little reel time in between thunderstorms.

Haskell Lake here provided a little ultralight fun today, I caught a couple of nice little Bass and a couple of Redears.....(Rebel Yellow Crickhopper) Quantum Micro MS00 - 4`6" Shakespeare rod - 6lb Trilene.

Veterans Park Pond - Jenks, Ok
A nice walk around the pond produced one little Bass and a couple of nice Gills. Quantum XR1 - Trilene XL 6lb - 5` Shakespreare Aplha XT.
This is a great park to take kids, there are two fishing docks and a playgorund.
