I'm not seeing much difference in the external ballistics to consider one superior to the other. A comparison of terminal ballistics would be more meaningful to me.
The external ballistics of the 30-30 could also be represented with loads such as the Hornady 140gr. I've never seen anyone use 110gr. in 30-30 for anything practical. In any case, nobody believes the 30-30 has better (even if slightly) external ballistics than the 300 Blk does at *any* range. Additionally, if you're comparing energy carried past 100 yards, the 30-30 has a noticeable advantage.

With 1" sight height for .30-30, 2.6" for .300blk. Zero at 200yds. Pick the bullet off the list or enter info manually. Then I dropped it into Excel to plot multiple curves simultaneously.

Hey thats pretty cool. I wonder what load their using for 300 blackout supersonic? I need to get my hands on that so I can check my handloads and future handloads.
