I can’t get my expander die to flare the cases out. Even all the way down. How do you overcome this?

What brand/type of press and dies are you using?

Lee reloading press and .45 acp dies. It doesn’t seem like the expander gets to the case mouth.

Single stage press?

Put the lock ring underneath.

I hadn’t thought of that. It is a single stage press with a rotating 4 die turret. Have to give that a try....

Lee dies are shorter than the Dillon dies that I use on my Dillon 650, but for some applications I mix with Lee and/or RCBS. When you put the lock ring underneath, it gives you about 1/4 more thread depth.

The Bowling pin shoot is the one that @Mad Professor is scared of lol.
Although he stomped me last month. I'll get him back though.
