6.5 creedmoor I’m loosing confidence or should I?

Agree to disagree on this statement, because the buck I shot in the heart on Friday with the 165 grain Corelokt dropped like a rock. I’ve killed a ton of game with that gun and load combo, and it performs the same every time. :anyone:

Same results with 120 grain Corelokt out of a 6.5x55.
I have shot deer in the heart many times and if the heart explodes from a very well placed bullet you get dead right there critters.
I had many just cut through the heart or cut the top off of it and they run.

Maybe the heavier 165 pulls more stuff along with it like fat and debris and gets a good pounding on them.
My 2700 and 2900 fps velocity and 129 and 150 gr eeehhh it works but i would like more fragmentation.
My core-lokt were all old lead tipped and I see they have plastic tipped ones now.

I wonder if they thinned the jackets on those?

maybe my shots sucked :)
