I had a 6.5 grendel & I just didn't see enough performance gain over it's parent cartridge to justify the price difference in ammo.

I'm just not a part of the creed crowd & don't see that changing

The arc seems the best of the possible options.

If I personally wanted a 6mm short action cartridge rifle I'd go back to the ol' tried and true 243 & if I needed a 6.5 s/a the 260 rem but I'm old and practical

I agree and have vowed to stick to 223, 270 Win, 308, 30-30, 45 acp, and 38spl.
Y’all do t know what you’re missing if you’re into medium to long rang shooting. For Oklahoma hunting. Those basic caliber are great. I own a couple of those calibers my self along with the 6.5 cm and about to build the 6 ARC.

I voted 6mm ARC but I will not do a AR. I’ll hold out for a Howa mini action barreled action from Brownells. That and a mini action grendel are probably my two rifles for 2023 but mainly I want the ARC cause I have a 6x47 Lapua that uses high bc bullets too.

This is where I am at. To build it in an AR platform and not making a budget build, I'm at around 1400-1500 in parts. There are plenty of factory bolt gun options for the same or better. Not to mention I can taylor a load more in a bolt gun.

A savage axis would only run $350 ish in either a 16” or 22” I believe

I voted 6 creed I have a custom I use for coyotes and have taken three deer with it. I push mine hard mainly shoot 87 gr vmax but have run heavier 105 and 108. You have to clean it every 50ish rounds or the carbon ring will cause pressure spikes. I have a load in the works using 75gr vmax running sp brass since federal 210’s are scarce and srp’s seem to be more available. I am at about 1500 rds on it with no noticeable decrease in accuracy. I push pressure and velocity hard in my coyote rigs. 6arc seems like a good choice but I like the extended range capability of the creed. And the 6creed has gained a lot of traction commercially. So factory ammo is easily accessible. 6.5 Grendel can be found locally and at the moment 6arc has been sparse at best I’ve only seen hornady in 6 arc I have a friend who’s kids all killed deer with the 6 arc this year. Damage with the 87 gr on everything is destructive.
