Maybe I'm sick, but I was thinking "Pull the trigger..."

So where would ya'll suggest a newbie scotch drinker start? I enjoy a cold glass of Crown Black, which apparently isn't "cool"

I started with J&B and Dewar's, mixing with 7-up or ginger ale. After a while, I started mixing it with more and more Scotch and less and less mixer. Now I drink it straight on the rocks most of the time and neat when I get something really good I am just sipping on.

Last night I ended up with a couple neat glasses of the Glenmorangie. It was goooooooood. :D

Be it my young age but, im still a bit too impatient to sip my beverage of choice straight and I still somewhat enjoy crown black w/ a little cherry dr. pepper (I blame the misses for rubbing off on me).

This past year my palate began to outgrow the crown so I look forward to trying blanton's like andrsnm mentioned as well as maker's mark. Dont know what to expect but it should be a good journey.
