Nephew and I had a good night Saturday night. Thoroughly enjoyed being on the water with him and the fishing wasn't bad either.

18 pounds of filets plus a few pounds out of the gar. Still trying to figure out what to do with those. I fried some last night just to try them. They were good but not as good as the catfish. I'll try a couple other things with them. Gar balls maybe.

We did indeed. My other nephew (18) was in his boat with a couple friends and they did well also. When i can spend a Saturday night on the river with the younger generation rather than have them out partying it does instill hope for our future.
