I'm not sure what a CPOI is, but we had blanket parties in the Army. I'm thinking it might be the same thing, and possibly apply in this situation?

I have a book about the sub guys during the cold war, and what they did to intercept communications buy putting frog men out of the sub, and tapping into the undersea cables that were used in the soviet harbors. Big Kahuna's don't even come close to those that did this.

The tracking was so close between subs that there were two occasions where they actually collided.

A co-worker was on subs at that time. When they didn't have soviet subs to monitor their noise signature, they recorded whales. Hence, why we now know where all of the whale pods are.

I just looked in our book shelf for the title, and author. Didn't find it. It may be in my hunting gear. I read a lot on the stand.
