the amazing amount of coddling that folks seem to want is astonishing here. This is a major department store, what more do you want? I sincerely doubt they were all just purposely ignoring buyers and rolling their eyes. Smart comments, well I am sure, but to get butt hurt....golly gee, good thing no one is a smart ass around here.

I'm with ya here.... I don't get how emotional and huffy people get here either. Is this the DU?

Its the internet, where else can we complain? I love the rhetoric how we always set price standards for local shops as compared to these "evil department stores," but only when we benefit... And when it comes time to FTF sell, the quotes are a standard of local shops (or original msrp) Or, in this case, expect local shop experiences at the big box store. It's the same as the "support small business" or "shop (town) first" and always shopping online to save .47cents

We've seen it time and time again... People will be butthurt for a while, and when the benefits outweigh their "principals and standards"... They'll go back and later boast of such a great deal.

Academy has been one of the best big box stores as well as bass pro!! No matter where you go you will find a smartass employee. No I don't work at academy, I'm in and out of the hospital from injuries in Afghanistan so I think you can guess who I work for! I've said the same thing About heartland in the past, and fully understand why the price was that way after talking to managers. I've worked in the gun buisness for several years and not everything can go right for every customer. Yes, there are alot of employee's that may roll there eyes. Those employee for Any buisness won't last long, guys and girls that have this attitude don't last long in a competive market! I've seen this first hand, I've seen many employee's last a week tops.

Just my two cents...

Jerry at the 41st St. Store is awesome. Great guy, great service.

I have to agree that the 41st store has good employees. I've never had a problem there. For as many times as they probably get asked when the next AR-15 is going to show up, they seemed fine dealing with the same questions they probably hear all day.
