Seriously I wanted to get married on a beach somewhere..Wife wanted a church and whole nine yards and everyone to come..We finally did renew our vows on a tropical island recently though, costs was $500 to the pastor and $2400 for airfare.

See about renting a reception hall at a nice hotel..Ive been to a few at Southern hills and Tulsa country Club but I bet those are big money..

My wife and I got married on the SW side of OKC at South Lakes Park. We rented the pavillion there. It's indoors, has heat/ac, kitchen and 2 nice bathrooms. I don't know what the official capacity is but we catered in dinner to 90 people. We were on a budget and it fit the bill nicely.

Courthouse. Me and my wife did it in texas because Oklahoma wouldn't allow us to until I'd been divorced from my ex for over 6 months. Took about 5 minutes with a very old and nice judge in his office. Was nice and cheap too. Then we spent the weekend in a nice hotel room chilling in a jacuzzi. Can't beat that man. DO IT!

Got married nearly 11 years ago in Eureka Springs - in the living room of an 1800s bed & breakfast, no family - just us, and it cost us the price of our rings, the marriage license, and a weekend stay at the B&B. It ain't the ceremony that matters.

^^ This is what we did and it was a VERY nice memory but we did have our immediate family there. We didn't stay at the bed and breakfast though, we rented a nice little hotel room and the wedding cottage charged us 300 for a 2 hour cerimony with a cake and some champain. I did pay alot for the ring though (4 grand) but i didn't want to spare any expense with this.

I have 5 acres, you can have it at my place for $3500. I'll throw in 2 kegs of PBR or Miller, and cook some burgers. I'll wear pants while cooking for an extra $500. Unless you have it in the winter, then I'll be wearing pants anyway, so that's no extra charge.

Parking is $10 on my land, free on the neighbors.

My wife and I went to Italy for 3 weeks. We got married and the translator was the B&B operator, the witnesses (neither spoke English) were the B&B operator's husband and her girl friend. Total cost including dress and suit were $6000. That's right, you can have a 6 hour party or 3 weeks in Italy.

But like what was said earlier, do what you (she) wants!!! Just remind her that the wedding is for the 2 of you and not for anyone else (that includes yo momma!)
