Alignment tool???

These suck, replaced the first one back in 2013 according to notes. While on the phone with them this morning the tech asked if I had an alignment tool. I know I didn’t use one last time. I have one on the way but am not waiting as I had a spare but curiosity is killing me. Anyone done one ? What is the tool used for?

It just looks scary, first contestant making a warmup lap.

My terminology is probably off, but the tool is used to align the base that sits on top of the press shaft with the primer system. If it’s out of alignment the primer punch will hit the shell plate as you’re trying to seat a primer.

Idk if the alignment tools are universal but I do have one in Inola if it would help you. Mine came with some 550’s I bought.

The 550 and 650XL use the same tool I believe.
