I wish someone would whip all 4 of their rears. They don't deserve to own a firearm acting like that. And I love how the news anchor said they were carrying "high powered" weapons. Really? Since when is a .22 caliber bullet high powered? And then they are called "assault weapons". And people wonder why so many are confused about what the gun really is. Every chance the media gets they mislead the public. People need to stop watching the news. We would be much better off.

yerp, makes us all look bad......

No, no, no; you're wrong, wrong, wrong!! According to the guys in Kansas I referred to earlier, it normalizes OC and when the public sees this it will reassure them that those who OC are all right. And if you don't agree with this, criticize their appearance, their actions, or say anything about them, (unless it is totally supportive of them) you are a closet anti, etc.

They actually say this; they really do.

It makes want to give them the :finger:. I am that angry.

 Oh. My. I didn't ever think you could get MAD like that ... :lookaroun

Me on the other hand ... :lookaroun Well ... :lookaroun It is what it is ... :rotflmao:

I'm just messing with ya!!

I don't get folks like that either. I've tried to have real discussions with folks about certain things and as long as they are doing the preaching it's all fine and good but then when I start to say something they don't even let me finish a thought ... I swear there was this one time when, in mid-sentence, this guy points his finger at me, looks at everyone else at the table and says "THERE it is ..." like I was some kind of intellectual void when it came to the subject we were talking about, just because I had a different opinion than he did. It was all I could do to keep from smacking the little **** ... :rolleyes2

People like that are afraid to hear an opposing view ... I think it's because they KNOW they are nuts. They know their point of view is irrational, and really, just plain wrong ... They just don't care ...

Know you are, hon. Now, I support the right to OC, but done wrong like those guys down in Texas or like these nitwits were doing in the video referenced in the OP of this thread, it could be a PR disaster.

That they don't see this is mind-boggling.

You and GC have met me and so you know about my physical problems. This is part of the reason that I don't OC. (For those who don't what I am talking about here, I have a mild case of cerebral palsy, and a serious hearing impairment that also affects my balance and the combination gives me a speech impediment that sometimes takes getting used to.) I made the mistake of saying this and was accused of believing that disabled people don't have the right to carry.

What surprises me about this whole dogfight (and I am being kind) is that the guy who is leading the charge, is usually so genial.

And just FTR, I do believe in RTC for the disabled, but I also think that they should take their particular disability into account in making any decisions about carry. Also I might point out to the folks on this forum that I have been carrying handguns for about half of my adult life. In the early 1970's, I had to practically force the police in Kent, Washington to issue me the CCW license that I was entitled to. And then when I moved back to my native Kansas in 1989, I became involved in the Kansas RTC movement right away. So, to have this guy tell me that I don't believe in disabled have RTC really pissed me off.

Anyway, please forgive my having to vent. I'm going to give myself a break from the Kansas forum for a while and the forum a break from me.
