Ammo Sightings--Lawton

Just was out at Academy.

They have lifted all restrictions on ammo except for 22lr and 9mm!!!

Ammo shelves were full (except 380).

Just back from Quanah-Parker Trail Walmart (Lawton - West Side) - they were loaded with Federal 9mm 100 rd packs for $24.47 and TulAmmo "BrassMaxx" 100 rd packs for $24.97 - never thought I'd see TulAmmo costing more than Federal. They also had some Winchester 5.56 FMJ (Red, White, and Blue box) and lots of PPU .223 Rem ammo. I wasn't paying close attention but there seemed to be a good supply of 40 cal, .38 spl, and and 45 ACP as well. Did not see any .22 LR or .22 WMR.

I think you mean Sheridan or East Side Walmart - I added "West Side Lawton" to my previous post for those not as familiar with Lawton.

I was walking by the ammo counter at 67th Walmart tonight.
Behind the counter, not in the case, they had 16 (sixteen) 1000 round cases of Federal 62gr green tip loose pack 223.
The price was (I think) 447 each.

In case anybody's interested 67th WM has CCI MiniMags $7.47/box of 100; three box limit, about a dozen or so boxes left when we were there a few minutes ago.

Was just over at the Cache Road WalMart (21:00 hours)

LOTS OF 150 round boxes of 223. 70 bucks each.
2 1000 round boxes of 223 55grn. Marked at 394.00 each.
several boxes of 22LR Stinger. Not sure of the price.

Academy had a bunch of Remington 22LR when we were in there a few minutes ago. Yellow Jacket and standard velocity.

Latest Lawton ammo sightings as of ~19:00:

- Academy had four (now three) boxes of Winchester White Box, 30 Carbine, 110 grain FMJ at $34.00 per 50 rds
- Sheridan Walmart had 40 ct boxes of WWB, .223 Remington, 45 grain JHP for $32.00
- Sheridan also had 150 rd boxes of 5.56 for, IIRC, $69.00

Neither is a great deal but the 30 Carbine is rarer than Hen's Teeth lately and the JHP .223 Rem isn't too common either.
