Yes you can. The original owner that bought it is on record. The feds will strong arm them to fess up who they sold it to with the threat of jail and bankruptcy while your trying to defend yourself.
The same scenario will go down the line until the feds find the final owner no matter how many times it has passed hands.
"I forgot who sold it to me" will result into a deep dive into every facet of ones life until enough pressure is put on to "remember".
That's how the feds work.

Yup got a story sent to me this morning about them ALREADY visiting homes where an 80% lower was sent.
This just keeps getting dumber . . . so they visit a customer who bought the kit because they see it as intent to build firearm without going through an FFL. What's next . . . confiscating AR build kits WITHOUT a lower receiver because it could end up as a firearm at some point without involving an FFL?
I really hope the ATF hangs itself by starting to play in the gray area of the definition of a firearm . . . the fact that they're going to spend so many resources going after something that isn't a gun is insane. Something that's easier to get than a freakin' suppressor that is even farther away from any semblance of a firearm than an 80% receiver.
