I'm of mixed feelings about publicizing arrests. The downside is that they stigmatize somebody who hasn't yet had a trial, and may have done nothing but be in the wrong place at the wrong time. If they're going to publish arrests, then they should publish charges dropped, declined prosecutions, plea bargains, acquittals and convictions.

If that was how my Sheriff presented themselves to the public, I'd have no faith or confidence in the office and I'd do my best to avoid them at all costs. That photo screams "I'm obsessed with Civil Asset Forfeiture and intimidation".
