Im with you... the "burning tire brigade" can sleep down by the pond... Thay way it wil be easier to roll their burnt carcasses into the water...

BTW, I think "tires" wasnt the only thing that was smoking...

Yep as long as it aint got floaties, im good.

I think ive outgrown my reckless, adventurous side. Other than telling of past adventures ive slowed down.

And to get back on topic, lol, im just about fully prepped for the camp.

Me too ... Slower than molasses in winter time ... Mostly because that damned JBT really, really crimps my style ... Man has NO sense of humor AT ALL ... :grumble:

:wink2:

I tried out my new hiking boots while I fixed the chicken coop, scraped ice off the sidewalks and drug in wood today. Got my compass in and have been doing some reading. Been trying to figure out what recipes off the Backpackin' Chef's website I wanna try out on you guys. Now I just gotta decide if I want to get a hammock and give it a try or just use my little two-person tent and sleeping bag and snuggle up with GC ...

So ... I'm almost ready too ... :woot:

I have some Hennessy hammocks and they're nice hammocks that work reasonably well; except the rain fly isn't the best design, nor is it a four season setup without an under quilt. It also can't be set up as a ground shelter. But other than all that, they are a good value and very comfortable to sleep in and backed from a good company that stands by their product. Once you get over the thought of being a 'bear burrito' you'll never want to go back to sleeping on the ground again.

I decided for now not to buy or build a under guilt or get a replacement rain fly (there are several reputedly good makers) for my Hennessy's. In stead, I bought a Clark NX-250 and have been reasonably well satisfied so far.
