I've got one of those new A4 rifles. It's shoots pretty doggone good. I put a Vortex 1-8x24 on it. Pretty nice rifle.

Wow, something may be an error on your application. Is there a way to check the status?
I had to paper file since the kiosks couldn’t read my fingerprints.
Yeah my last one took a long time too but it got moved into “research” status and there was an atf rep communicating with me about it. This one has just been “submitted/in process” for months.
I checked a Reddit thread about form 1 waits and lots of people seem to be experiencing this. I’ll give it another month before I start bugging someone about it.

My longest was 5 months, got it early last month. I did 4 at once too. Shortest of the 4 was 2 months.

Actually, it was yesterday,,,
But I finally finished a 7-year hoar,,, eerrr accumulation project,,,
That I started the day that ammo became available after the Obama years.

I found it so strange that the day, yes the very day after Trump was elected,,,
All of the on-line ammo stores I buy from,,,
Suddenly had tons of .22 LR in stock.

Anyways, I sat myself down and made a list of Ammo I wanted,,,
And used my average number of range trips per year,,,
With the number of rounds I usually expend,,,
To come up with a minimum Bench Stock.

I'm laid up for a few months after a surgery so can't go the range for a while,,,
I decided to take the money I would have spent on ammo,,,
And go ahead and make a large order to finish it.

So here it is my friends,,,
I'm 72 years old (in 9 more days),,,
With this stock I may never have to buy ammo again.

I hope I'm not tempting fate by saying that.

70,250 of .22 LR,,,
11,520 of centerfire handgun,,,
530 of centerfire rifle (I only own two c-f rifles)

for a total of 82,510 rounds,,,
And a bottle of 500 BB's for my trusty Daisy's.

Except for this last few weeks (where I went a bit insane for a day or three),,,
I amassed this ammo by buying a few to several boxes of ammo,,,
Every time I had some "allowance" at the end of month.

So now all I have to do is replace what I shoot up each month,,,
I didn't choose the ammo by brand as much as availability,,,
So Wal Mart got quite a few of my dollars those days.

I got very lucky when a friend of mine asked me,,,
Would you be interested in some old military .22 LR"?

She had a friend who inherited all of his grandfathers guns and ammo,,,
He didn't want to keep any of it so he was selling it all off.

She said he had 4 unopened 5,000 round crates of that ammo,,,
I asked her how much he wanted for them all,,,
She said $75.00 for each crate.

.22LR ammo was very scarce at that time so I replied,,,
If he'll take a check, I'll take them all.

As far as I was concerned any .22 ammo for 1.5-cents a round,,,
Was well worth the cost even if it was just range fodder.

I did a Google search using the data on the individual boxes,,,
Turns out this was Remington contracted for the Army,,,
Rated as Standard Velocity LRN target ammo,,,
It was sold to civilians through the CMP.

My bolt-action rifles loved this stuff,,,
It was grouping as tightly for me as CCI SV did.

I did share some of it with my friends who couldn't find ammo,,,
So the first 3,000 rounds went away very quickly,,,
I kept the rest back for my target rifles,,,
15,000 rounds dedicated to them.

Wal Mart sold those 550 round bricks of HV copper hollow points,,,
At the time they were right at $20.00 per 550-bulk pack,,,
That ammo ran well in all of my semi-auto pistols,,,
I kept buying until I had 15,000 rounds.

A friend gave me a 325 round pack of Federal Auto-Match,,,
It too ran well in all of my semi-auto pistols,,,
As well as in all of my semi-auto rifles,,,
My goal was to get 15,000 rounds,,,
Wal-Mart always had it in stock

Honestly, I don't know why I bought so much of the CCI Mini Mags,,,
I truly believe it was just my OCD kicking in full force,,,
Since I had 15,000-plus rounds of the others,,,
I needed 15,000 rounds of this as well.

With the exception of the CCI Mini-Mags,,,
As I use the others up I'll replace them with CCI SV,,,
I'll replace the Mini-Mags with Mini-Mags because, well,,, OCD.

Most of the centerfire pistol ammo is FMJ,,,
Whatever brand was cheapest at sgammo.com,,,
I buy from them because they are a local company,,,
And because they waive shipping for orders over $200.00.

Anyways, I'm finally ammo'd-up at a level that satisfies my OCD,,,
I'll never have to stand in line for 3 boxes of 50 .22 LR again.

I'd like to know the brand of that shelf --- it's standing tall!!

:ooh2:

It's a shelf I made 20 years ago to hold darkroom chemicals,,,
3/4 inch plywood with each shelf being braced,,,
I am watching it for any sagging,,,
But so far it's holding up.

I tried one of those particle board book shelves from Wal mart,,,
It started sagging after one day and broke after a week.

I should have known better.
