Edit to add:
A phone call to Taurus confirmed this is a Model 66 made in 1999.
It also appears this was the first year to be a 7 shot. Previously the 66 was a 6 shot.

Picked up this S&W “ Lady Smith “ in .357 mag. from a fellow member. Thought I might use it for EDC for a while to see if I can come into contact with my feminine side. Who knows, maybe I will want to trade sides.View attachment 500221

Those be some wild grips on that Lady Smith.

On a whim,,,
I bid one from gunbroker a few years back,,,
To my amazement I won the auction for $295 + shipping/transfer.

I'm partial to 3" S&W's so the one I got was very pleasant to shoot,,,
But a lady friend of mine handled it and fell madly in love,,,
I let her have it for the cash amount I had in it.

Nice score my friend,,,
I'm jealous!

That’s a nice looking pistola. The grips compliment the gun perfectly.

Busy day today. I thought I had posted more than just the picture.

I think this is a Taurus model 66 but I'm not sure. It is a 7 shot 357 Magnum.

Well I would have preferred the non safety version but this one will do. The new bodyguard 2.0, quite a handy size and with 10+1 a really good little package. I’m not a big 380 fan but I’m a huge fan of always being armed

For giggles here’s a NAA bug out 2 on top of it for size comparison

I picked up a Lady Smith 357/38sp for my wife. It was too much for her so I get to cross over every once in awhile too.

When I first saw those grips I was sure that they were wrapped in old duct tape. 😁 😁
