I’ve been gathering parts for a while now but the barrel and BCG came today.

Deer tracks handguard from AR15discounts
ER Shaw, SOCOM barrel, bead blasted in 6.8 SPCII
I had ordered 2 mags but since it took a while to get the barrel in, Robert at Patriot Arms threw in 2 extra mags for me.
I’ve got the AA2200 and Hornady 120 gr SST’s to work up the loads.
Going to top it with my thermal scope and throw my Thunderbeast can on it and go whack some hogs and coyotes.

A Smith & Wesson 29-2 (3 screw) in 44mag. Long barrel, factory engraved.
Well, actually it's not mine. The gun had been stored improperly and has some pitting on the other side and on the cylinder. The grips were in terrible shape (even had a little mildew on the other side). Owner asked me to make the grips look better, so I refinished the grips for her. If the gun had been perfect, I would not have done this, however, the refinish should make it easier for her to sell it. It certainly looks much better now!

For some reason, my camera doesn't quite catch the true nature of the engraving. It looks much better in person. Oh well.
