Thanks to Uncle Sam and @surjimmy I now have this amazing Ithaca 72 .22lr lever action.

The action on this is buttery smooth and I doubt it's ever been fired. (I will be changing that here soon.)

Made in West Germany between 1973-1978. This does have a tell-tale screw that puts it at the very front of that production range. This is a direct predecessor to the Henry H001.

It has one scratch on the side, but not a big deal for one I'm going to shoot

I got to fondle this rifle a week or so ago and man, it is one sweet feelin' gun.

So Tulsa Gun Show Find:
Wife and I went to try and sell an AR-15 that we had to raise some additional funds for the upcoming surgery. We had a few inquiries, however there were ALLOT of AR’s for sale. Walking by a table and a gentleman and his wife asked what and how much. He offered me a straight trade for a nice 1954 Winchester 94 30-30 in trade, at first I was not that interested but as I walked around my gut told me this was a good deal. We went back and made the deal. Based on my research and the condition, I think we did the right thing. Now do I sell or keep....
Those of you more knowledgeable in lever actions, pleases advise. Thank you
BTW, Crystal clear barrel and rifling along with buttery smooth action.

At least it's not as scary looking as those assault rifles with the shoulder thingy that goes up.

You may have just described half the members here...
:drunk2:

I'd vote for this to be post of the year!
