Have a look at the Bush Pilot by Wild West Guns. Even if I had to sell a truck to get it, could be the best money I ever spent. That and seven pound Arky Toothpick.

I finally got his in today; a Gunbroker find I just picked up by transfer from the friendly folks at Sooner State Pawn, a beautifully engraved and with tastefully done gold plated parts Walther PPK/S chambered in .380acp. I have already ordered a custom OWB Pancake holster, black; with black shark accents from TT Gunleather for it to ride in. The question is...will I shoot it? Hells yeah! You can for darn sure betcha I'm gonna shoot the crap out of it!

Gearing up for visiting grizzly country later this year. Fly fishing the back country I’ll be toting the Ruger Super Redhawk in .44 mag.
Just got in two boxes of Buffalo Bore 265 grain mono-metal bullets. Solid copper for maximum penetration.

May as aks you as anybody. I notice for dangerous game underwood and similar always recommend heavy and solid or hard cast, is that for deep penetration?

If it were late summer/fall and they were plenty fat, I would go for a softer bullet; less chance of going straight through soft tissue. Also you might get lucky enough to have one less grizzz wake up come spring, a la lead poisoning. Speaking from mild experience, those critters move incredibly fast and Jerry Miculek, hell Wyatt Earp would have a hard time hitting where he was aiming. In spring I'd go for denser projectile. And say some prayers over them when you open the box.

A griz can outrun a horse. They are incredibly fast. Most likely one is going to get a head on shot coming at you if any shot at all can be gotten off.
