Already have the Hornady manual. Figured I would grab this one too for another reference.
I really like that manual. He spends a good deal of time telling us how great his equipment is, but the is a huge amount of info in there that you won't find anywhere else.Already have the Hornady manual. Figured I would grab this one too for another reference.

Easy to explain (but maybe hard to understand). Pre-pandemic, many background checks went to "further review". What that means is that more time is needed to look at the records. Before the pandemic, the "further review" process took three to five minutes to get an answer (either "proceed" or "denied"). Since the pandemic, the NICS simply does not do the "further review" process. If your initial check does not go through (I'd estimate that 50 percent or less do), then you get delayed. It has nothing to do with you; the "delay" is on their end. Even people with UPINs get delayed these days.Once again for the 20th or more times I got a delay.
FFL gave me number of NICS customer service. I’ll call them Monday and see if they are willing to investigate why I keep getting these delays.
C'mon, we all know that the NCIS guys sit around their office eating doughnuts and tossing darts at the approve/disapprove dart board hung on the wallEasy to explain (but maybe hard to understand). A member of my family is retired FBI, did white-collar crimes mostly. I always joked that they spent all their time drinking coffee and playing computer games - in the office was a dart board: indict/don't indict.C'mon, we all know that the NCIS guys sit around their office eating doughnuts and tossing darts at the approve/disapprove dart board hang on the wall
