Already have the Hornady manual. Figured I would grab this one too for another reference.

I really like that manual. He spends a good deal of time telling us how great his equipment is, but the is a huge amount of info in there that you won't find anywhere else.

Got some Berry's Superior Jacketed Hollow Point projectiles yesterday. First time trying them, they're the 9mm 124gn flavor. I like putting 3.8 grains of Red Dot underneath that weight of bullet. I actually prefer shotgun powder for that load. Desperate times back in Obama version 1 yielded me about 3 lbs that I've slowly burned through...and as long as I keep a close eye on my scale it's kosher. Accurate and light recoiling.

I'll have to load them up and shoot a few (but just a few!) to see how they perform. So far I've seen some pictures of reliable and wide expansion.

I also got some Hornady XTP projectiles just in case.

Once again for the 20th or more times I got a delay. 🤬🤬
FFL gave me number of NICS customer service. I’ll call them Monday and see if they are willing to investigate why I keep getting these delays. 🤬🤬
Easy to explain (but maybe hard to understand). Pre-pandemic, many background checks went to "further review". What that means is that more time is needed to look at the records. Before the pandemic, the "further review" process took three to five minutes to get an answer (either "proceed" or "denied"). Since the pandemic, the NICS simply does not do the "further review" process. If your initial check does not go through (I'd estimate that 50 percent or less do), then you get delayed. It has nothing to do with you; the "delay" is on their end. Even people with UPINs get delayed these days.

C'mon, we all know that the NCIS guys sit around their office eating doughnuts and tossing darts at the approve/disapprove dart board hung on the wall 😏

A member of my family is retired FBI, did white-collar crimes mostly. I always joked that they spent all their time drinking coffee and playing computer games - in the office was a dart board: indict/don't indict.

Typical gubmint job.

I picked up an AR15 upper the other day from @BobbyV with a Pantheon Arms Dolos QD system. Pretty cool, never had one of those before. I ordered stuff to make a pistol upper for it which was just the barrel, gas tube and a handguard and ratcheting nut that fits the upper. So now I’ve got kind of a modular, super packable AR pistol length/full size combo. Used the law tactical folding adapter and a phase 5 buffer tube assembly to finish it up.
