Anybody got a short explanation of Indian Tribal lands in Oklahoma?

Not minerals in Osage County. You only own the top 12” of the property. If minerals like rocks are on the surface, you can’t disturb them without a permit from the tribe. SCOTUS recently affirmed this.
You are correct about Osage County. The minerals in the entire county are owned by the tribe. That is the only County in Oklahoma like that and likely the reason I have never worked Osage too. :D

Surface rights and mineral rights are jacked up across the entire state.
