Looking at the Hyundai Tucson GLS's there and have been e-mailing them. They're willing to go with the USAA pricing and their trade offer seems pretty decent.

Just wondering if anyone here had any personal experience.

I'm at Ft. Sill and the hour drive up there just to waste my time with them playing games would piss me off to say the least.

My mother purchased a car there. She bought it used, and thinks she got a great deal, and was happy. However she had her engine blow out of her Hyundai Genesis (sedan) V8 and because it was used it is only covered by 60,000 mile warranty. So make sure you are covered by 100k warranty. Needless to say after fighting with them she is coming out of pocket $1k for a new engine.

I have been getting my Sonata serviced by them since I bought it two years ago. I really like their service department. I'm a car guy, so I know when I'm being bullshitted.

They don't try to and so far have done a good job.

Thanks for the opinion. Being a car guy as well, I think we probably have the same attitude when it comes to dealing with dealerships and shops.

Anyone else with experience?

We bought a SUV from them 3 wks ago. I despise car dealers, but the transaction was smooth. Took a little fun out of the deal because they do not haggle, but I wound up buying what I wanted at a very good price. I would go back if they had what I was looking for.

So you made the 1.5 hour drive down from Tulsa to buy from them? That's a sign of confidence from me.

Did you have a trade or anything? As of now, I'm not really worried about the price of the vehicle as they are honoring the USAA negotiated price plus a $500 military rebate. I've been e-mailing the sales manager and he says not to worry, they deal with the Tinker AFB guys all the time.

I do have a '08 Scion tC I'm looking to trade in. Has about 58k miles on it, typical wear and tear on the exterior for a car with that many miles. Has the 5 speed manual. Tentatively, they're offering $9,300 for the trade but that's with just pictures. Honestly, I'm thinking that after they look at the car and see that it will have to be detailed, there is a certain amount less that I'm willing to settle for.

We were looking for a 2009 Cad SRX (Smaller SUV, but 2010s are even smaller, too small) with 50K or so miles with the heated seats, etc that Wifey wanted. Could not find anything acceptable at a reasonable price in the Tulsa area. Found one in Denton Tx with 51K miles for a reasonable price and was going to make a dive down to take a look at it. Then ran across one at the OKC Carmax with 23K miles and only 2K more money, so made the trip over there to take a look at it and purchased. She has a 2003 Deville with all the whistles and bells for trade with 129K miles, but they did not want to give much for it. I do not think it was something they normally want. Because it has all highway miles and is still in very good condition, we did not trade it in.

I could have had them ship the SRX to Tulsa for $99 to look at it, but because of New Years it would have been a several days delay and we might have missed it so we made the trip to pick it up and visited with one of the Grandsons while we were there. Glad we did. I feel we got a good deal on an almost new 2009 that is exactly what we were looking for. I would suspect your trade most likely will fit into their system better than the older 2003 we have. Now we have to sell it on our own and get it out of the driveway.

My experience was very smooth, and I would deal with them again. 5 day return it for any/no reason if you do not like it, 30 days, they will fix anything that needs fixed. Not bad. Our trade in was most likely not something they would be looking for in their market place, so I can not fault them for that.

Hope it works out for you.
