To me, it looks like one the of plagues the angels unleash in the last days. All it needs is a golden breastplate and viola!
Regardless, don't take the thing home as a pet. And for Pete's sake, don't be calling it names, it can hear you and you won't like the results. As a side note, those green sunglasses are cool looking!

You have to shoot them in the head. They only attack if you have a brain.

Called them monkey flies when I was a kid. When driving down the road in Summer with windows down before air conditioning monkey fly would fly in car window & catch flys. Monkey would light on my finger & set there till a fly would come in the car then it would chase the fly. Some times the fly would go out the window & some times get caught.
