I read the same thing. He had a total of 6 30 rd magazines for the .223 and three of them were emptied. At most he could have fired 119 rounds (3 x 30, plus 29 of 30 in the fourth or it would have been "empty."
Okay, shotgun busted, but how about this. They say he fired 150 rounds but only had three 30 round magazines for the Bushmaster. Other reports say everyone was shot with the Bushmaster except for his suicide. Did he reload magazines while inside, or is their magazine or shots fired count just off?
But once again - there continues to be too many discrepancies in their story. If those "investigating" can't count how many shotgun shells he just pulled from two mags (and possibly one in the gun), how effed up is the rest of the "investigation"?
That must be one huge glove box.
The shell casing count is probably accurate. They circle those and they are part of the crime scene. My total guess is that he was dropping empty mags as he went and somebody got that wrong.
Not everything in the world really needs a conspiracy theory. It is far more likely that gun facts are being reported by people who aren't really gun people. Reporters say whatever is on the prompter and never notice that is impossible.
