I have one. It's a shooter for sure. I heard ramblings about being ammo finicky, but haven't noticed myself. All the same, it hasn't replaced my Savage 17hmr bolt action yet. It's still my personal fav.

I got my scope mounted and sighted in this weekend. Appears to be a shooter. It ate everything I fed it with equal aplomb no failures to feed or eject. Gonna be a fun rifle to have around. It actually shot best with some federal I hs for my bolt gun. The cci made for the a17 shot second best.

nice report. I bit the bullet and went with a 17 Hornet Savage 25. Decided the single shot 17hmr and the straight pull 17hmr was enough. Have not shot the 17 hornet but feel it will be a classy little rifle.Going to put it in a laminated stock, bed and pillar it too before shooting. Already have a nice scope for it. Will post pics later today.
