Ar hand stop

I don't know if this is a silly question or personal preference, but how do you use a hand stop. In my mine you would use it to keep your hand from sliding up the rail but from the way I see they are mounted you pull into them.

Hand stop mainly is for SBR with rail that extends close to the muzzle. Keep your hand from getting in front of it, or for when shooting from a barricade can be used as a brace against the post, wall or whatever media is your cover. IMO

That's what I was was thinking of putting it on.

Mine are all minimal. I use them as a hand stop and a reference point that is repeatable. I grip the the hand guard toward the front with my thumb over the to rail and pull the gun straight into the shoulder. The small stops work very well for me in this position with SBRs.

That's a angled fore grip, not a hand stop
