Yeah, Kings has two of the KelTec Sub2000 that I bought 2 weeks ago for $550 or so with one 17 round mag and three 33 round mags. Their black one was $1000 with one mag, and the stainless one was $1100.

I know the Sub2000 is a REALLY neat gun, I love the hell out of mine, but jeez! That's 3x msrp.

I didn't really go to purchase anything but ended up w a really nice Colt HBar. Guy was asking $2k but I purchased for $1,500 w colt 20 round mag. Much higher than I wanted to pay but it seemed fair. I then found a beautiful SP1 Colt. Perfect original w cleaning kit and all. He was asking $1,800 but purchased for $1,600. Guy w the SP1 purchased it for $1,300 not an hour before. I immediately sold the HBar to a friend and he was happy to pay the $1,500.

Seemed like many guys were asking $2k+ but you could purchase many from individuals for the $1,200 to $1,600 range.

With the current mentality of the buyer market, it doesnt matter if it is Noveske or New Frontier, people are paying the same amount. Its unreal the frenzy everything is in.

Really taking away from all of the enjoyment I used to have looking through clasifieds and other guns sights trying to find a bargain.

Holy Cow!!! I thought I wanted an AR-15 to go with my AR-10. But at those prices, I think I'll just wait until the storm blows over and find something less expensive. I believe I really want to make sure I get one chambered in 5.56, but I'm not sure which manufacturers make that configuration.

As for the pricing nowadays, has Gunworld been doing classes on pricing weapons?

This is so true. The people that bought the cheap stuff are the ones making out the best. Those of us who invested in premium stuff have experienced much less of an increase in value. Before, you maybe had a few AR's that were worth $2000. Now, those elite ones are still worth $2000, but so is the home-build Spikes or DPMS.

Lots of ignorant buying. Saw a Kalishnapup stocked Saiga 12 for $2500. Lets see, stock is readily available for $300. Even if you bought an unconverted Saiga 12 for $1500 you still would only be at $1800. So $700 extra premium because someone decided to make the gun look cool for a quick sale. Silly. Still not sure why I bought it....

JK on that last part.
