If your close to the metro you can swing by, ive got a fiber scope we can check to see if its a live round with. Then you can drive it out if it aint. Might save ya few bucks

Nothing screams poor craftsmanship like wrinkles in your duct tape

not yet, to be honest, I just don't have the confidence that I'm not going to break something. It's going to a gunsmith tomorrow....think it's better to let a professional handle it. We will see how it goes.

You can do it. You need to do it. It's a basic carbine malfunction clearance drill. It'll be a great learning experience.

Safe direction, straight up and down on that buffer tube. It'll work.

update: I decided not to take it to the gunsmith, grow a pair and go for it. Just as everyone said, no big deal. Very simple and effective. Now I know how to handle it if it happens again. Thanks again for the help, everyone here at this community forum is always so helpful and friendly.
