Yeah, I know for sure Iowa is one.
I have never been delayed and usually get my approval in less than 15 minutes. That being said, the simpler the better.

That is my understanding. You fill out the 4473 and they file it, no need to enter in NICS for approval decision.

I may need to get a permit now. On the other hand, I don't buy that many new guns so it may not be a big deal for me. It's that way in Idaho. It really was convenient.
