Had no idea there was a Gun Club at Tinker...
It was'nt around until a few months ago, lol. But I worked on the TACAMO side about a year or so ago. I was on the crew of the Civilian's working on the E-6.
Yes the date is set on the 16th. And it is open to all Tinker employees (Civil Service and current contractors), Military members (Active Duty, Reserve, Retired) and their Family members.

And B-52 Sheetmetal where I work is on mandatory OT so it was Sunday or not at all. 13 days on/1 day off =(
And I have yet to find a range in OKC I like as well as this one in Tecumseh.
Plus the range operator/owner is one of us. The only other outdoor range would be Canadian Ranges (Banner Road) and personally I don't like the setup or the fact that he does not allow shotguns or any rapid fire/Full auto.
With winter coming we will likely have to move to meeting in OKC, perhaps try the new range in Edmond. I just have come to realize after visiting outdoor ranges that I hate going to H&H because of their poor ventilation. Sorry but I get enough crap in my lungs/bloodstream at work and after a few hours at H&H I am blowing black snot out of my nose, that can't be a good thing.

The range is fine, in fact its my preferred place to shoot. The suggestion I made was for the lunch meet. Its out of the way to go to Shawnee then to Thunderbird range. Thunderbird range is only half the distance to shawnee from okc. So you would be driving from okc to shawnee then have to backtrack 15 miles to get to Kens. Thunderbird range is more easily accessed either from highway 9 (a mile east of Thunderbird Casino) or the route I take (sw149th from i-35, 13 miles or so east, south on fish market road 3 miles). Well this time is set in stone because it is too late to start changing stuff. but next month completely in the air. Except that I would like to still shoot at Thunderbird. I am pretty unfamiliar with that area. All I know is Oklahoma City, Stillwater, and Shawnee lol. I am open to suggestions for where to meet for dinner next time.

Well, I had to miss it again. How was it? Turn out good? I am working on a project to bring next time (hints to the reason I did not make it today)
