Thanks gentlemen. I appreciate the thoughts.

Things are getting better a little bit every day,,,
It's just a slow process that's made worse by the idle lifestyle of recuperation.

One thing this does is teach you (or test your) patience,,,
I'm trying to relax and keep a good attitude.

I'm not worried as my medic says I'm "right on track",,,
I'll just put my faith in that and keep on keepin' on.

Thanks again,,,

Good you caught it early.

Yeah, that was the beauty of the entire thing,,,
It all (diagnosis, surgery, recuperation) happened so danged fast,,,
That to tell the truth I'm having a difficult time saying that I survived cancer.

What I mean is that I have no sense of having cancer,,,
It's almost like this was preventative surgery.

Anyways, my recup is going as well as can be expected,,,
Just biding my time, doing my flex exercises,,,
And trying to get used to a diaper.

My next appointment is the end of November,,,
I'll find out if I'm on track then.

Thanks again for the thoughts good people,,,

Mine was the same, biopsy, telling myself no big deal, getting the call telling me it was a big deal. Working through the decisions, then surgery. Happened in about 3 months.

I also feel the same, I don't feel like I fought it, and certainly didn't endure what some folks do in the fight. But we do live with the effects the diagnosis, and treatment every day, so that does make us survivors.

Thanks for the good wishes Gentlemen.

I have fully recovered from the surgery itself,,,
And am having no difficulties in my everyday activities.

Today I have my third follow-up appointment,,,
They'll do a urine test to see if any cancer shows up.

The doc says it's standard to do four tests,,,
So after one year if nothing shows,,,
It's considered gone for good.

I'm confident.

I just had a friend pass away from prostate cancer. Great health … got his PSA too late. Another had caught it and had his prostate removed in November … so far so good.

Guys … ya reach a certain age and you best get the tests/screening done.

Best wishes on your recovery!
