I don't know if it was two male skunks or two female skunks... all I can tell you is that skunks like it rough, and they spray after.

Seriously, it got to the point where I am now very tolerant of skunk spray.

A trapper I once met told me that the only way to dispatch a skunk without it spraying is to get a heart shot with a 22. The other thing he said is to skin it underwater incase it does spray while skinning it then just your arms will smell. He was wearing a skunk hat so I tend to believe he knew what he was talking about.

I think a spine shot should also do the trick since it takes a muscle contraction to fire the spray... but I've never done it so I can't be sure.

Let us know how it goes as I think this could be very informative, there are tones of skunks in my area. And one more thing, bleach and hydrogen peroxide (not mixed, but used alternately) DO work to bring the smell down if you do get sprayed.

I'd believe anyone wearing a skunk hat too. I bet he was one badass dude.
