Black eyed peas

I like black eyed peas, eat a can about once a month usually throw some chopped up ham in there. I do it the easy way and let Margaret Holmes cook them for me.

Been eating BEP’s since a kid and still carry on the tradition.
Peas in chicken stock, garlic, s&p, onion, bacon, and ham for a great pot of peas.
Teaspoon of baking soda sure helps with the gas issues.

These are BOMB. I add some blue n gold sausage, browned in a skillet first.
