Unbelievable that these poeple continue to let thier Mayor overstep his authority. First was big sodas, now he's banning big coffees and regulating sugar. How is the media NOT covering this as an infringment of freedom? I know it's trivial compared to other proiblems in the world, but the effect is still the same, Government over-stepping it's boundaries and people accepting it without so much as a whimper.

It's getting more and more backwards out there folks. Sorry but I had to vent, all the negatives I read are starting to get to me.

"A state judge on Monday stopped Mayor Michael Bloomberg's administration from banning the sale of large sugary drinks at New York City restaurants and other venues, a major defeat for a mayor who has made public-health initiatives a cornerstone of his tenure.

The city is "enjoined and permanently restrained from implementing or enforcing the new regulations," New York Supreme Court Judge Milton Tingling decided Monday."
