For the price and the taste.................every time I go to the liquor store I buy 2 bottles. One for sippin' and one for the cave man closet...the liquor cabinet is full!!!!!!!!!!!
I've got a new bottle of Pappy 20 year in my cabinet. Haven't really thought about opening it yet.
I like bourbon and especially Mr. Booker. I never mix or put bourbon (or any brown liquor) on ice because I do enjoy the taste. That said there are time when I am not in the mood for bourbon and will go to an Irish whiskey. May try the Jameson "Caskmates" this week.
George and Evan good friends to have

People want what they can't have.Whomever is doing the marketing for Beam is a moron. Booker's doesn't sell relative Makers, Basil, Knob, or Blantons. Now you're going to up the price and put out less?
Blanton’s ‘Black label’ Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Blanton’s Bourbon for sale are no official differentiation between the black and the green (Special Reserve) except a quote by John Shutt (International Sales and Marketing Manager for Blanton’s) “The “Red” and “Black” labels were created… specifically for the Japanese market. Red 93pf and Black 80pf are the same mash bills as their other Blanton labels with one difference….there is an 8-year minimum aged barrel selected. Their other Blanton labels require a 6-year minimum. Regardless, you won’t find an age statement on any Blanton label. The bottle by taste, not age,” says Shutt. An extremely rare bottling, a must-have for any Blanton’s enthusiast.
This my friends is most likely a “bourbon scammer”. They are as thick as flies on a pile of sh** right now. You can’t swing a dead hooker without hitting a bourbon scammer.
Blanton’s is available locally, if you look hard enough. I have 1 empty, 1 half full, and 1 unopened bottle in my bar right now. They were all purchased in the metro.
I also have a bottle of 15 yo Pappy in the gun safe. I paid an exorbitant amount of money for it about 3-4 years ago, and last time I looked the price had more than doubled. I have an empty bottle of pappy in my bar as well. It’s really good, but unless I stumble across it somewhere, which is highly unlikely, I won’t purchase another one.
There are good bourbons available, that don’t cost an arm & a leg. What’s a “good bourbon” you ask? Everyone has their own measuring stick. Mine is; if I can get really liquored up on it and not have even a little bit of a hangover in the morning, that is a quality booze. I don’t always get really liquored up, but that’s the measure for me. Those are available, some of them for less than 80 bucks, U.S., and locally.
Good luck in your searches. Everyone that drinks should be allowed to enjoy a really fine glass of bourbon on the regular. Is this a great country or what?
