Like every year, it will be my Model 70 .264 Winchester mag. I fear change.

Model 70 Winchester in 30-06 and 300 Win Mag. 1911 style .45 loaded with some of Mitches 200 gr semi wad cutter bullets in front of about 5.4 grs Bullseye. Might take a Mosin just in case.

I don't hunt much but when I do, it's 12 gauge Sabot slugs.

I'm too damned old and fat to track a deer for any great distance. A 12 gauge slug drops 'em where they stand.

What weapon and caliber will you be carrying this season? Dug to the back of the safe this year and using the ruger M77 in .350 Rem mag. Good luck to all!!

I like your style; I'll be toting the ballistic brother of your .350 mag, the venerable .35 Whelen in one of the 250 blued No. 1A's Lipsey's put out this year. It's the same length as a Model 94 carbine, points like a bird gun and should hit like a Mack truck. Old school medium bores are cool.

I may sit on the ground with the old M77 .270 overlooking a field an evening or two. I feel better with it at slightly longer ranges as I haven't shot the Whelen much at any distance.

Nice to see all the Rugers hitting the woods.
